Where does the name "killick" come from?
The word Killick is slang for a Royal Navy sailor with the rank of leading seaman, leading hand or leading rating in the Royal Navy.
When I left the Navy in 1998, I was a leading hand. The rank badge I wore is a fouled anchor (an anchor with a length of rope twisted around it) which is the logo I use on the website.
