How does it all work?
 

Step 1 - Book a free 30 minute discovery call

  • The discovery call is an important part of the coaching process as it allows us to get to know each other, build trust, and establish rapport.
  • We will discuss your goals and expectations and set the ground rules for our coaching partnership.
  • It is also an opportunity for you to ask more about me, my coaching style and experience.
  • During the discovery call, I encourage you to be curious. This is a great opportunity for you to explore and ask questions, ensuring that the coaching engagement has the best chance of success.

Step 2 - Contracting

 

The first thing to say here is that although we refer to contracting, this is not in the commercial sense. It's more of an emotional, personal contract setting. This session takes place after the discovery call but before the formal coaching sessions start. This is the opportunity for us to set expectations and really form the foundation for our coaching partnership.

 

We will discuss and agree upon the following key elements:

  • Coaching Goals: Clearly define the specific objectives the client hopes to achieve through coaching.
  • Coaching Process: Determine the logistics of the coaching engagement, including the frequency and duration of sessions.
  • Roles and Responsibilities: Clearly outline the roles and responsibilities of both the coach and the client.
  • Expectations and Boundaries: Establish clear expectations for the coaching relationship, including confidentiality, communication norms, and mutual respect.
  • Measurement and Evaluation: Determine how progress will be measured and evaluated throughout the coaching engagement.

Step 3 - Formal coaching sessions

This is where the magic happens! Typically we will have 4 formal coaching sessions, each lasting 60minutes, which is where I will delve deeper into your specific goals and challenges. I will ask powerful questions and engage with active listening to facilitate self-reflection and insights.

 

Step 4 - Review and close

Here we will review your objectives and what has been achieved over the course of your coaching journey. It may be the case that some actions will require additional work or follow-up after the coaching assignment has concluded. Finally, we will share feedback to each other on how the coaching experience has been.
