Professional career

 

Rob has enjoyed a 25-year career working in the transport, defence, telecommunications, and manufacturing sectors, both in the UK and overseas. 

 

After leaving the Royal Navy in 1998, Rob spent 7 years in the telecoms sector progressing from office junior to Project Manager. In 2005, Rob established his own London based consultancy delivering major infrastructure projects on behalf of Network Rail and London Underground. 

 

Rob then went on to work for some of the world’s largest companies such as Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems, Thales and more recently Caterpillar.  

 

Rob is an experienced business leader specialising in Programme and Supply Chain Management. He understands what makes people and organisations a success or a failure and has first-hand experience of both. 

 

This gives Rob a unique ability to draw on his personal experiences and relate them to the organisational, people and personal challenges faced by the people he coaches.

 

It is this, coupled with his passion for developing people and creating high performing teams, that led Rob to become an executive coach.

 

Volunteering

As a veteran, Rob is a strong advocate for supporting service leavers into civilian employment. Rob supports the Recruit For Spouses organisation providing coaching and mentoring to military spouses in pursuit of their professional journeys. 

 

Within Caterpillar, Rob is the UK chair of the Armed Forces Support Network which is focused on promoting Caterpillar as a forces freindly employer. Rob works closely with members of the Armed Forces Covenant team and other charitable partners working to support service leavers as they transition from service life into civillian employment.

 

 

Relevant qualifications and memberships

To complement his many years of practical coaching experience, Rob is currently working towards the ILM Level 7 qualification for Executive and Senior Level Coaches."

 

He is a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) and practices and adheres to their Global Code of Ethics.

 

Rob also holds an Executive MBA from the University of Bedfordshire.
